A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXTENDING BEST WISHES TO LEVOLA W. WHALEY OF CHARLESTON COUNTY UPON HER RETIREMENT AS AN EDUCATOR.

Whereas, Mrs. Levola Wallace Whaley of Charleston County attended and completed Sol Legare Elementary School on James Island and graduated from Burke High School with a state high school diploma and also a diploma in cosmetology; and

Whereas, she received a B.S. degree from South Carolina State University and a master's degree from The Citadel; and

Whereas, she taught six years at St. James Parochial School on James Island and thirty years at E.B. Ellinton Elementary School in Ravenel; and

Whereas, she is retiring this year from her illustrious career in education; and

Whereas, Mrs. Whaley has been a truly outstanding and dedicated educator and is greatly deserving of recognition and an expression of gratitude for her many years of superb service to the children of South Carolina. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, extends best wishes to Mrs. Levola W. Whaley of Charleston County upon her retirement as an educator. Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Whaley.
