A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SENATE TO THE FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS OF MRS. FRANCES MARSHALL OF JOHNSTON, WHO WAS BURIED FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 1995.

Whereas, Mrs. Frances Marshall, a native of Johnston, was the daughter of the late Tommy and Mae Ida Reedy Frazier; and

Whereas, Mrs. Marshall attended Paine College in Augusta and worked for nineteen years for the Department of Social Services in Aiken County before she retired on disability; and

Whereas, Mrs. Marshall, fifteen years ago, organized Edgefield County Concerned Adults and Parents Organization (ECCAPO) as a class project for an off-campus course she was taking through Winthrop University and developed this class project into a program that continues to offer opportunities and training for the youth of Edgefield County; and

Whereas, Mrs. Marshall was an advocate of the sound development of youth in the Johnston community and was best known for her leadership in organizing and coordinating; and

Whereas, Mrs. Marshall dedicated her life to helping Edgefield County's young people--she put young people before her own well-being and continuously gave of herself unselfishly; and

Whereas, she was known as a humanitarian who dedicated her life to serving the youth of Edgefield County. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate express their deepest sympathy to the family and many friends of Mrs. Frances Marshall of Johnston, who was buried Friday, September 1, 1995.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mrs. Marshall.
