A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROPRIATE FROM FISCAL YEAR 1993-94 SURPLUS REVENUES THREE MILLION SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A PROGRAM SERVICING PREGNANT WOMEN AND CERTAIN PERINATAL EFFECTS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. To the extent fiscal year 1993-94 surplus revenues are available, there is appropriated from the general fund of the State, three million six hundred thousand dollars for the implementation of a program that will provide services to and guidelines for pregnant women on the perinatal effects of alcohol, controlled substances, and cigarettes and other risk factors that may be present. Funds will not be appropriated if the program is not established.

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
