TO AMEND SECTION 48-11-100, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE GOVERNING BODIES OF WATERSHED CONSERVATION DISTRICTS, SO AS TO REQUIRE THE DIRECTORS OF A GOVERNING BODY TO BE LANDOWNERS IN THE DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 48-11-100(A) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Section 1201, Act 181 of 1993, is further amended to read:
"(A) The governing body of each watershed conservation district consists of five directors selected as provided in this section. No person may be a director who is not a Directors must be landowners in the district and qualified elector electors residing in the district."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
