TO AMEND ARTICLE 11, CHAPTER 13, TITLE 8, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DISCLOSURE OF ECONOMIC INTERESTS, BY ADDING SECTION 8-13-1127 SO AS TO REQUIRE A PERSON REQUIRED TO FILE A STATEMENT OF ECONOMIC INTEREST TO INCLUDE WITH THE STATEMENT AN ADDENDUM STATING THE TOTAL COMPENSATION PAID, AND FEE RECEIVED BASED ON SERVICE RENDERED AS A CONSULTANT, DIRECTOR, OR TRUSTEE, AND TO REQUIRE THIS PERSON TO REPORT OTHER FEES EARNED BY HIM WHILE BEING PAID FOR WORKING FOR THE STATE, OR ANY AGENCY OR POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF IT, OR WHILE UTILIZING THE PROPERTY OF THE STATE OR AGENCY OR POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF IT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Article 11, Chapter 13, Title 8 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 8-13-1127. A person required to file a statement of economic interests form with the State Ethics Commission shall include with that form an addendum stating the total compensation paid or accrued including base, fringe benefits, retirement or deferred compensation accounts or arrangements, gifts, goods, services, and honoraria:
(1) for each consultant's, director's, and trustee's fee paid or accrued on his behalf; and
(2) for each other fee earned by him while being paid for working for the State or an agency or political subdivision of it or while utilizing the property of the State or an agency or political subdivision of it."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
