To whom was referred a Concurrent Resolution (H. 3542), requesting the Governor, State Budget and Control Board, and the Advisory Coordinating Council for Economic Development to make available funds from all possible sources, etc., respectfully
That they have duly and carefully considered the same, and recommend that the same do pass:

REQUESTING THE GOVERNOR, STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD, AND THE ADVISORY COORDINATING COUNCIL FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TO MAKE AVAILABLE FUNDS FROM ALL POSSIBLE SOURCES TO ASSIST LOCAL POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS IN COMBATTING FURTHER MILITARY BASE CLOSURES IN THIS STATE.
Whereas, the General Assembly notes that another round of military base closures is pending pursuant to the actions of the Base Closure Commission; and
Whereas, previous base closures in this State have had destructive consequences to the people of this State and to the local communities that are affected. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly requests the Governor, State Budget and Control Board, and the Coordinating Council for Economic Development to make available funds from all possible sources to local political subdivisions in order to combat further military base closures in this State.
Be it further resolved that copies of this resolution be forwarded to the Governor, members of the State Budget and Control Board, not including the Governor, and the members of the Advisory Coordinating Council for Economic Development.
