TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 1-11-435 SO AS TO REQUIRE STATE AGENCIES, DEPARTMENTS, INSTITUTIONS, AND DIVISIONS TO PRINT CERTAIN INFORMATION UPON ALL WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS AND PROVIDE PENALTIES.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 1-11-435. (A) All written communications by agencies, departments, institutions, and divisions of state government must contain their complete address, telephone number, and fax number, if applicable.
(B) An employee of an agency, a department, an institution, or a division shall reimburse his employer for printed material he orders without the information required by this section."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
