A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

SALUTING ROBERT W. DWYER OF SUMTER FOR HIS DEVOTION TO HIS NATION, STATE, AND COMMUNITY.

Whereas, Robert W. Dwyer of Sumter spent twenty-three years in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict; and

Whereas, Mr. Dwyer was highly decorated in the military service and received the Good Conduct Medal and the Purple Heart; and

Whereas, he was a dedicated state employee at State Surplus for over twenty-two years; and

Whereas, he is a member and trustee of the Jehovah Baptist Church in Sumter and has helped those in need in the State of South Carolina for many years; and

Whereas, he is a distinguished gentleman who loves his State, his country, and his community, and he possesses a truly pleasing personality and always has a pleasant smile for everyone; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are pleased to have the opportunity to recognize this very fine man. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, salutes Robert W. Dwyer of Sumter for his devotion to his nation, State, and community.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Dwyer at 706 Estate Drive, Sumter, 29150.
