AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE CHARLESTON COUNTY BOARD OF ASSESSMENT CONTROL IS ABOLISHED AND ITS POWERS AND DUTIES DEVOLVED UPON THE CHARLESTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Board abolished; duties devolved

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Charleston County Board of Assessment Control is abolished on the effective date of this act, and its powers and duties devolved upon the Charleston County Council.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
