A BILL

TO AMEND TITLE 57, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO HIGHWAYS AND THE GOVERNANCE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, SO AS TO ELIMINATE THE COMMISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND REESTABLISH THE DEPARTMENT AS A CABINET AGENCY MANAGED BY A DIRECTOR APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Title 57 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Title 57"

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
