A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MARTIN BROTHERS, INC., OF SUMMERTON ON BEING SELECTED AS THE FIRST RECIPIENT OF GEORGIA-PACIFIC'S "OUTSTANDING LOGGER AWARD".

Whereas, Martin Brothers, Inc., of Summerton has been selected as the first recipient of Georgia-Pacific's "Outstanding Logger Award", representing the Forest Resource's division's Piedmont Group; and

Whereas, the award was presented recently to Robert C. Martin, owner of Martin Brothers, Inc., by representatives of Georgia-Pacific's Piedmont Group management; and

Whereas, the award was created to recognize excellence among the many logging firms that provide wood for Georgia-Pacific's operations, and the award is based on safety performance, business management, and environmental stewardship; and

Whereas, Martin Brothers, Inc., is highly deserving of this honor and the General Assembly is pleased to have this opportunity to recognize such an outstanding company. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Martin Brothers, Inc., of Summerton on being selected as the first recipient of Georgia-Pacific's "Outstanding Logger Award".

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Martin Brothers, Inc.
