A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 4-9-32 SO AS TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING BODY OF A COUNTY TO PROVIDE OFFICE SPACE AND FACILITIES FOR THE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES OFFICE EITHER BY THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS OR IN-KIND CONTRIBUTION OF THE SPACE AND FACILITIES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 4-9-32. The governing body of a county may provide office space and facilities for the county Department of Social Services office either by the appropriation of funds for the lease of office space and other costs or in-kind contribution of the office space or facilities."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
