A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE DR. JAMES ANN LYNCH, PRINCIPAL OF LUGOFF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN KERSHAW COUNTY, UPON BEING NAMED A NATIONAL DISTINGUISHED PRINCIPAL IN ADDITION TO RECEIVING THE 18TH ANNUAL WILLIAM B. HARLEY ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD.

Whereas, Dr. James Ann Lynch has served for a number of years as principal of Lugoff Elementary School in Kershaw County; and

Whereas, Dr. Lynch has recognized the children's receptivity to education and used her dedication and enthusiasm for a lifelong readiness to learn new facts and explore new ideas to establish an exemplary character that has carried over to the students at Lugoff Elementary School; and

Whereas, in addition to being an outstanding administrator, Dr. Lynch continuously inspires and motivates teachers and others to achieve and contribute to a positive school environment which has culminated in the recent selection of Lugoff Elementary School as one of the state's three winners in the 1995 Palmetto's Finest competition; and

Whereas, Dr. Lynch is highly respected by the Lugoff Elementary students, colleagues, parent organizations, and the community at large; and

Whereas, as well as being an active member of state and national professional associations, Dr. Lynch has distinguished herself as a leader in civic, religious, and humanitarian activities; and

Whereas, Dr. Lynch's dedication, creativity, and tireless efforts in the educational field have brought her an additional distinction by being named the 18th Annual William B. Harley Administrator of the Year; and

Whereas, it is fitting that the members of the House of Representatives recognize Dr. James Ann Lynch, principal of Lugoff Elementary School, as a shining example of distinct leadership in the educational field and commend her for her outstanding accomplishments. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Dr. James Ann Lynch, Principal of Lugoff Elementary School in Kershaw County, upon being named a National Distinguished Principal in addition to receiving the 18th Annual William B. Harley Administrator of the Year award and wish her success in future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Lynch at Lugoff Elementary School.
