TO AMEND SECTION 58-31-390, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO ELECTRIC POWER PROVIDED BY THE PUBLIC SERVICE AUTHORITY, SO AS TO AUTHORIZE SERVICE WITHIN THE TERRITORY ASSIGNED TO AN ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE UPON AGREEMENT OF THE AFFECTED ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 58-31-390 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 58-31-390. Except as provided in In addition to the provisions of Section 58-31-320(1), the Public Service Authority shall serve no may serve new premises within the territory assigned by the Public Service Commission to any electric cooperative upon the agreement of the affected electric cooperative."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
