A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 38-77-601 SO AS TO EXEMPT PERSONS OWNING ANTIQUE MOTOR VEHICLES FROM THE REINSURANCE FACILITY RECOUPMENT CHARGE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 38-77-601. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a person who owns an antique motor vehicle as defined in Section 56-3-2210 is exempt from the imposition and payment of the facility recoupment charge."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
