A JOINT RESOLUTION TO EXEMPT THE SUPERINTENDENT OF LAURENS COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT 56 FROM THE MINIMUM SALARY REQUIREMENT OF THE EDUCATION FINANCE ACT WHILE THIS SUPERINTENDENT IS A REEMPLOYED RETIREE RECEIVING BENEFITS UNDER THE SOUTH CAROLINA RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Requirement not to apply
SECTION 1. The minimum salary requirement of the Education Finance Act, Section 59-20-50(4)(a), Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, does not apply with respect to the salary paid the superintendent of Laurens County School District 56 serving on the effective date of this joint resolution so long as this superintendent is a reemployed retiree receiving benefits under the South Carolina Retirement System.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor and applies with respect to salary paid after December 31, 1989.
