A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF JAMES BRYANT FLOYD OF ANDERSON COUNTY, AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Whereas, James Bryant Floyd of Anderson County died on February 15, 1996, at the age of eighty-five; and

Whereas, he was a member of Pope Drive Baptist Church of Anderson and the Timothy Sunday School Class; and

Whereas, he retired as a lieutenant from the City of Anderson Police Department after thirty-one years of outstanding and devoted service; and

Whereas, he was a former partner of Anderson Armored Car Service and was a life member, 32nd Degree Mason of Hiram Lodge #68; and

Whereas, we want his family and friends to know that they are in our thoughts and have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of James Bryant Floyd of Anderson County and extend sympathy to his family and friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of James Bryant Floyd.
