COMMENDING DR. JERRY H. PADGETT, THE RETIRING DEAN OF THE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AT WINTHROP UNIVERSITY, FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF OUTSTANDING AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO WINTHROP, YORK COUNTY, AND THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.
Whereas, Dr. Jerry H. Padgett, is retiring as Dean of the School of Business Administration at Winthrop University; and
Whereas, Dr. Padgett has served with great distinction at Winthrop for twenty-four years; and
Whereas, he has rendered valuable service as a member of the York County Economic Development Board and as a member of the board of directors of the South Carolina Council of Economic Education; and
Whereas, he is also a Founding Father of the Frank L. Roddey Small Business Development Center and has served over the years in many other civic, professional, and community capacities; and
Whereas, he is an outstanding individual and highly regarded for his knowledge, selflessness, and dedication; and
Whereas, he is highly deserving of recognition and commendation. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commends Dr. Jerry H. Padgett, the retiring Dean of the School of Business Administration at Winthrop University, for his many years of outstanding and dedicated service to Winthrop, York County, and the State of South Carolina.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Padgett.
