Whereas, Miss Kathryn Reese of Spartanburg is a 1996 Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of South Carolina; and

Whereas, Miss Reese has shown extraordinary diversity and talent in ballet, including dancing solo at the World's Fair in New Orleans in 1984, attending the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts in Ballet in 1990-91, and serving as a member of the University of South Carolina Ballet Dancing Troop; and

Whereas, Miss Reese is not only gifted in the arts but she also has demonstrated academic ability, including being a University of South Carolina Scholar, and a University of South Carolina Phi Beta Kappa Scholar; and

Whereas, in addition to her many talents, Miss Reese is a natural leader and role model. She attended Girl's State in 1992, served as President of the University of South Carolina Ballet Dancing Troop, and was a counselor at both the Girl's State and Governor's School for the Arts following her own attendance at each; and
