Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

Eternal God, we come again into Your presence constrained by Your beckoning and compelled by our need. We are grateful that You are always ready to share with us Your divine strength and to make us strong against the evil forces which would undermine our character and corrupt our soul. We penitently confess that we are often without a clear vision of spiritual values because we have allowed our vision to become unclear by selfish ambitions. Grant us Your wisdom and guidance as we face the duties and responsibilities of this day. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

At 10:10 A.M. the House in accordance with H. 4239 (Sine Die Adjournment Resolution) adjourned to meet at 10:00 A.M. tomorrow.
