I support the concept of full day kindergarten. However, I cannot support an amendment that would put the budget out of balance by $55,000,000. Also, if passed this amendment will send an unfunded mandate back to the local school district. The amendment only addresses the initial costs. It does not include the cost of busing, lunch program or building facilities.
