CONFERENCE REPORTS

H. 4471 - A Joint Resolution to provide for a referendum to be held at the same time as the 1996 general election to determine whether or not the qualified electors of the school district of Greenville County favor subdividing the district into three or more separate school districts and requiring the Chairman of the Greenville County Legislative Delegation to submit a plan of subdivision developed by the delegation to the electors in 1998 if the results of the 1996 referendum are in favor of subdividing the district
S. 699 - A Bill relating to the redemption of real property sold for delinquent taxes, so as to increase the interest rate from eight to twelve percent in the last six months of the redemption period for all real property not assessed as owner-occupied residential property
S. 1195 - A Bill to define the mission of higher education in South Carolina and of each type of public institution of higher learning; and to provide that the commission shall be responsible for a coordinated, efficient, and responsive higher education system in this state and to provide for the responsibilities of the commission in this regard
S. 1315 - A Bill relating to the jurisdiction and boundaries of the state, so as to revise the boundaries of the state in regard to the boundary in the lower Savannah River Region
S. 949 - A Joint Resolution to permit certain students until December 1, 1996, the opportunity to take the Education Entrance Examination (EEE) or certain sections thereof not passed for a fourth time under specified conditions
H. 3915 - A Bill relating to the State Commission on Higher education, so as to revise the membership of the commission and the manner in which the members are selected
S. 1293 - A Bill to provide that all law enforcement agencies shall provide crime victims with a copy of the crime incident report relating to their case and certain other information, and regarding the compensation of victims of crime, so as to provide a definition of "restitution"
H. 3663 - A Bill to create an antique motor vehicle dealer license plate
S. 507 - A Bill relating to the registration of a private detective business, so as to revise the qualifications an applicant who desires to operate a private detective business must possess, and to establish the qualifications a private detective private detective business must possess
H. 4431 - A Bill relating to the determination of allocation to school districts under the Education Finance Act, and weightings to establish cost differences between programs, so as to add a wighting for pupils with autism
H. 3228 - A Bill relating to equal rights of parents, to provide that both custodial and noncustodial parents have the right to participate in their children's activities
H. 4614 - A Bill relating to children, so as to enact the Children's Code Reform Act of 1996
H. 4600 - The General Appropriations Bill
H. 4602 - A Joint Resolution to appropriate monies from the Capital Reserve Fund for fiscal year 1995-96
H. 3730 - A Bill to enact the "Law Abiding Citizens Self-Defense Act of 1995" and to provide the requirements for the State Law Enforcement Division to issue permits to allow certain individuals to carry concealed weapons
S. 1117 - A Bill relating to education, so as to enact the "Public School Facilities Assistance Act", to make funds available to construct and renovate public school facilities, and to authorize the issuance of school revenue bonds
H. 4518 - A Joint Resolution proposing an amendment to the Constitution, relating to the credit of the state and its political subdivisions, so as to remove the prohibition on the state and its political subdivisions from becoming joint owners of or stockholders in a company association, or corporation and to conform other language to this revision
H. 3845 - A Bill relating to the preparation of the jury list for each county from a tape of persons holding a valid South Carolina driver's license, so as to provide that this jury list shall be furnished in 1995 and every third year thereafter rather than each year
S. 1101 - A Bill relating to appointment and removal of members of Boards of Voter Registration, so as to provide that members must complete a training and certification program conducted by the State Election Commission
H. 4706 - A Bill to enact the "South Carolina Rural Development Act of 1996"

H. 3300 - A Bill relating to the Sex Offender Registry, so as to provide for public notification when a sex offender resides or intends to reside in a community, and relating to the confidentiality of information contained in the Sex Offender Registry
S. 90 - A Bill relating to the crimes of armed robbery and attempted armed robbery, so as to extend the offense to cases in which a person alleges he is armed while using a representation of a deadly weapon or an object which a person may reasonably believe to be a deadly weapon
S. 846 - A Bill relating to motor vehicle registration and licensing, by adding Article 72 so as to provide for the issuance of South Carolina Olympic License Plates
H. 3961 - A Bill adding Chapter 6 to Title 14 to create the Judicial Merit Selection Commission and to establish its powers, duties, and functions
H. 3962 - A Joint Resolution proposing an amendment to Section 3, Article V of the constitution, relating to the Judicial Department, and to establish the South Carolina Judicial Merit Selection Commission

H. 3446 - A Bill to provide requirements for the location of agricultural facilities and agricultural waste disposal areas, and relating to the circumstances under which agricultural facilities and operations are not nuisances, and relating to local ordinances pertaining to these facilities and operations, so as to provide for the conditions under which related permits must not be suspended, denied, or revoked
H. 4796 - A Bill to provide certain definition, that the Department of Public Safety annually shall assess, equalize, and apportion the valuation of all motor carrier vehicles, that the value of motor carrier vehicles subject to property tax must be determined by the department, and that the tax must be paid to the department annually
H. 3515 - A Bill to establish an African-American History Monument to be erected on the State House grounds, to create a commission to select the design and location of the monument, and to provide that this commission shall also study the feasibility of establishing an African-American History Museum, and shall make reports and recommendations in this regard to the State House Committee
