18     TO AMEND THE 1976 CODE BY ADDING SECTION 59-117-85 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT EMPLOYEES OF AGENCIES
19     AND INSTITUTIONS AFFILIATED WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, WHO
20     HOLD FACULTY APPOINTMENTS IN THE SCHOOL, MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE SCHOOL'S PRACTICE PLAN, AND
21     TO PROVIDE THAT FUNDS GENERATED BY SUCH PARTICIPANTS SHALL BE HANDLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
22     UNIVERSITY POLICIES GOVERNING PRACTICE PLAN FUNDS.

24     A.  The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

26           "Section 59-117-85.    Employees of agencies and institutions affiliated with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine who
27     hold faculty appointments in the school may participate in the school's practice plan.  Funds generated by such participants shall be handled
28     in accordance with university policies governing practice plan funds."

30     B.  This section takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
