A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO DIRECT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO INSTALL AN ELECTRONIC TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 5 WITH SOUTH CAROLINA BUSINESS HIGHWAY 5 AND SOUTH CAROLINA ROAD S-75 IN YORK COUNTY.

Whereas, the volume of traffic that travels through the intersection of South Carolina Highway 5 with South Carolina Business Highway 5 and South Carolina Road S-75 in York County is considerable; and

Whereas, the lack of an electronic traffic signal at this intersection makes it a safety hazard for motor vehicles. Now, therefore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The Department of Transportation is directed to install an electronic traffic signal at the intersection of South Carolina Highway 5 with South Carolina Business Highway 5 and South Carolina Road S-75 in York County.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
