TO COMMEND THE BROOKLAND-CAYCE HIGH SCHOOL "LADY BEARCATS" SOFTBALL TEAM, ITS COACHES, MANAGER, AND TRAINER FOR WINNING THE 1998 STATE CLASS AAA SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.
Whereas, the 1998 Brookland-Cayce High School "Lady Bearcats" Softball Team, under the leadership and guidance of Head Coach Richard Lundy, Assistant Coaches Steve Collins, Johnny Sandel, Gary Taylor, and Gary James, team manager Jessica Cain, and Trainer Chris Miller, won the 1998 State Class AAA Softball Championship; and
Whereas, the Lady Bearcats accomplished this outstanding achievement for the fifth time in the school's history; and
Whereas, the members of the 1998 Lady Bearcat's Team are Amanda Stevens, Elizabeth Cupstid, Melissa Sandel, Amy Taylor, Jamye Dunlap, Angela Johnson, Launa Smith, Dedier McCoy, Courtney Casto, Jennifer Owens, Tara McDaniel, Ashlie Simmons, Jessica Arrington, Pamela Collins, Camille Berry, and Stephanie Owens; and
Whereas, the members of the Senate, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and congratulate this truly talented group of young women for this achievement and extend to each of the team members, coaches, manager, and trainer best wishes in all their future endeavors. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate hereby commend the Brooklyn-Cayce High School "Lady Bearcats" Softball Team, its coaches, manager, and trainer for winning the 1998 State Class AAA Softball Championship.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Brooklyn-Cayce High School "Lady Bearcats" Softball Team.
