TO AMEND TITLE 44, CHAPTER 7, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO HOSPITALS, TUBERCULOSIS CAMPS, AND HEALTH SERVICE DISTRICTS BY ADDING ARTICLE 24, SO AS TO ESTABLISH THE HOSPITAL RATE COMMISSION, TO PROVIDE FOR ITS POWERS AND DUTIES, AND TO ESTABLISH PROCEDURES UNDER WHICH HOSPITALS MUST OBTAIN APPROVAL OF HOSPITAL RATES AND INCREASES IN RATES.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Title 44, Chapter 7 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
