TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 20-7-1435 SO AS TO REQUIRE FAMILY COURT JUDGES TO WRITE THEIR OWN ORDERS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 20-7-1435. Family court judges may not rely on attorneys representing parties in actions before them to write orders or decrees in these actions but rather must write their own orders."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
