A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

COMMENDING AND EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO REBECCA M. TENNY FOR TWENTY-SIX YEARS OF OUTSTANDING AND DEDICATED SERVICE AS ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OF H. E. CORLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND AS EDUCATOR TO THE STUDENTS OF DISTRICT FIVE OF LEXINGTON AND RICHLAND COUNTIES.

Whereas, Mrs. Rebecca M. Tenny has served with great dedication and distinction for twenty-six years as assistant principal of H. E. Corley Elementary School as an educator to the students of District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties; and

Whereas, her love and enthusiasm for educating children has been vital to H. E. Corley Elementary School and the education of its children; and

Whereas, her knowledge of curriculum development and wisdom in its application as well as her keen ability to motivate students and maximize classroom learning have been invaluable; and

Whereas, Mrs. Tenny has worked diligently for excellence in public education in the community and State, and her many contributions over the years are deserving of special recognition and expressions of gratitude for her efforts on behalf of the school district; and

Whereas, her service to the teachers, children, and parents of the H .E. Corley Elementary School family and to the community will always be appreciated, and as she retires at the close of the 1996-97 school term, she will be greatly missed. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commends and expresses sincere appreciation to Rebecca M. Tenny for her twenty-six years of outstanding and dedicated service as assistant principal of H. E. Corley Elementary School and as an educator to the students of District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Rebecca M. Tenny.
