A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE MEMBERS AND COACHES OF THE ABBEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL PANTHERS BOYS TRACK TEAM ON BEING 1997 STATE AA TRACK CHAMPIONS.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly note that the Abbeville High School Panthers Boys Track Team had an outstanding 1997 campaign, with a 30 and 5 record, placing second in their region, winning the upperstate meet at Clemson University, and earning the state AA championship; and

Whereas, this record of achievement is a tribute to the discipline and hard work of team members and the dedication of Head Coach Doug Blosser and his able assistant Darrell Crawford; and

Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in their deliberations so that they might recognize and honor the achievements of these young men and through the recognition of this one team, to honor all who have participated in high school athletics. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate the members and coaches of the Abbeville High School Panthers Boys Track Team on being 1997 State AA Track Champions.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Abbeville High School Panthers Boys Track Team Head Coach Doug Blosser.
