TO CONGRATULATE LOUISE LEONARD SMITH TINSLEY, AND FRED REGAN TINSLEY OF LEXINGTON COUNTY UPON CELEBRATING THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES TO THEM FOR MANY MORE YEARS OF HAPPINESS TOGETHER.
Whereas, Louise Leonard Smith Tinsley and Fred Regan Tinsley were married on June 14, 1947, by the Reverend Doctor Melvin K. Medlock, at Trinity Methodist Church, Spartanburg, South Carolina; and
Whereas, Louise Leonard Smith Tinsley is retired from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, volunteers for American Red Cross blood drives, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and Meals on Wheels, and is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Columbia, South Carolina; and
Whereas, Fred Regan Tinsley served in Europe as a member of the U. S. Army during World War II, is retired from Trailways Bus Line, and from the South Carolina Department of Agriculture, volunteers for Meals on Wheels, and is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Columbia, South Carolina; and
Whereas, their marriage will reach the half-century mark on June 14, 1997, and Louise Leonard Smith Tinsley, and Fred Regan Tinsley are devoted to each other, and have joyfully stood together as a model-married couple for fifty years; and
Whereas, they are the proud parents of three children, Fred Edward Tinsley, Gary Thomas Tinsley, and Charles Allen Tinsley; and have three grandchildren: Samuel Gabriel Tinsley, Claire Llewellyn Tinsley, and Mary Louise Tinsley; and
Whereas, we, the members of the House of Representatives, want the Tinsleys to know that our thoughts are with them on this splendid occasion, and that we share in their joy. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Fred Regan Tinsley of Lexington County on the occasion of their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary, and to extend to them best wishes for many more years of happiness together.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Regan Tinsley.
