A BILL

TO AMEND CHAPTER 1, TITLE 56, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER'S LICENSES, BY ADDING ARTICLE 10 SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR THE REGULATION OF THE OPERATION OF ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Chapter 1, Title 56 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Article 10

Operation of All Terrain Vehicles

Section 56-1-1900. It is unlawful for a person under thirteen years of age to operate an all terrain vehicle (ATV).

Section 56-1-1910. A person thirteen years of age or older who does not possess a driver's license may operate an all terrain vehicle after successfully completing an all terrain vehicle written test and road test administered by the Department of Public Safety."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
