TO EXTEND THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE TO THE FAMILY OF MR. MELVIN LEE JARRARD OF CLEVELAND, SOUTH CAROLINA.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate sere saddened by the death of Mr. Melvin Lee Jarrard; and

Whereas, Mr. Jarrard served his community admirably in his involvement in numerous civic activities, being recognized as Citizen of the Year; and

Whereas, he was a man of many talents whose work ethic was outstanding as evidenced in his contributions and accomplishments as a merchant, farmer, businessman, postmaster, weatherman, and realtor; and

Whereas, he was dedicated to his family, his friends, and his church where he served in many positions of leadership including teaching Sunday School for fifty-five years; and

Whereas, he was an outstanding individual in his community and State and will be greatly missed inasmuch as he devoted his life to helping others. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, extend their deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Melvin Lee Jarrard of Cleveland, South Carolina.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Jarrard's family.
