TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 44-7-322 SO AS TO REQUIRE HEALTH CARE FACILITIES TO CONDUCT RANDOM DRUG SCREENINGS OF ITS EMPLOYEES AS A CONDITION OF LICENSURE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 44-7-322. As a condition of licensure under this article, a health care facility must conduct random drug screenings of its employees."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 1998.
