A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 42-17-25 SO AS TO REQUIRE COUNTIES TO PROVIDE SUFFICIENT PHYSICAL FACILITIES IN WHICH THE WORKERS' COMPENSATION COMMISSION MAY CONDUCT HEARINGS AT NO EXPENSE TO THE COMMISSION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 42-17-25. A county must provide sufficient physical facilities at a consistent location in which the commission may conduct hearings at no expense to the commission."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 1998.
