A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO PROVIDE THAT TUITION AND FEES AT STATE-SUPPORTED COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES, AND TECHNICAL COLLEGES ARE FROZEN AT THEIR 1997-1998 ACADEMIC YEAR LEVELS UNTIL THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY BY LAW PERMITS INCREASES THEREIN.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, tuition and fees at state-supported colleges, universities, and technical colleges are frozen at their 1997-1998 academic year levels until the General Assembly by law permits increases therein.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
