TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, BOARD OF MEDICAL EXAMINERS, RELATING TO INITIAL COMPLAINT; FORMAL COMPLAINT; DUTY OF THE PANEL; REVIEW BY THE BOARD; DUTY OF BOARD AFTER REVIEW; APPEAL OF DECISION; PROCEEDINGS PRIVATE UNTIL FILED; ADMINISTRATOR IS AGENT FOR SERVICE OF NOTICES ON NONRESIDENT PHYSICIANS; INVESTIGATIONS AND INJUNCTIONS; DOCKET OF COMPLAINTS; CONFIDENTIALITY OF DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS; FINAL ORDERS OF THE BOARD; CONTENT OF PETITION FOR REINSTATEMENT; BOARD'S REPORT TO BE FILED; AND PROCEDURES THEREUPON; INVESTIGATION AT INSTANCE OF BOARD OR COMMISSION MEMBERS; AND PROCEDURE THEREUNDER, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2272, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Board of Medical Examiners, relating to initial complaint; formal complaint; duty of the panel; review by the board; duty of board after review; appeal of decision; proceedings private until filed; administrator is agent for service of notices on nonresident physicians; investigations and injunctions; docket of complaints; confidentiality of disciplinary proceedings; final orders of the board; content of petition for reinstatement; board's report to be filed; and procedures thereupon; investigation at instance of board or commission members; and procedure thereunder, designated as Regulation Document Number 2272, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
