TO EXPRESS THE GRATITUDE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO SERGEANT ALECIA BODIE OF THE AIKEN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE FOR HER DEDICATION AND INVALUABLE ROLE AS A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER.
Whereas, Sergeant Alecia Bodie performs dual roles at the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, which characterize her professional career as a law enforcement officer; and
Whereas, Sergeant Bodie is a full-time School Resource Officer at Midland Valley High School, developing a great rapport with the students and staff; and
Whereas, Sergeant Bodie has diffused several potentially dangerous situations at Midland Valley High School; and
Whereas, Sergeant Bodie also successfully performs the full-time duties as Child Abuse Investigator; and
Whereas, Sergeant Alecia Bodie has executed her duties in a professional and dedicated manner that is a great credit and asset to her organization; and
Whereas, she exemplifies those exceptional qualities of leadership, compassion, and principles to her peers, community, and countless young people; and
Whereas, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Sergeant Alecia Bodie for a job well done and thank her for being an example to others in law enforcement. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives express their gratitude to Sergeant Alecia Bodie of the Aiken County Sheriff's Office for her dedication and invaluable role as a law enforcement officer.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Sergeant Alecia Bodie.
