Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 56-5-1005. (A) Before January 1, 2005, all highway intersections equipped with caution lights or stop signs and having an average daily traffic count of two thousand or more motor vehicles must have rumble strips installed in the lanes approaching the caution lights or stop signs.
