The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.

Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

O God, our Help and our Hope, teach us completely that in Your nearness there is wisdom to save us from despair; in Your nearness, there is light to lead us on; in our weakness, there is strength to fortify us; that even in discouragement, we find courage and determination. Continue, then, Your presence to shatter our delusions, to shine through our nearsightedness, to make us strong. Forbid that we should be found toying with the tiny when we should be diligent in reaching the heights. Spare us from being cowardly when we should be courageous, confused when we should be calm, fickle when we should be faithful. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

At 10:10 A.M. the House in accordance with S. 811, the Sine Die Adjournment Resolution, adjourned to meet at 10:00 A.M. tomorrow.
