The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

Our Father God, Whose law abides, we thank You for the blessings that You so bountifully bestow upon us all. We thank You for the freedom that is ours. Reveal to us the decisions we would make, the procedure we should follow and the paths we should tread. Sustain us in our efforts when they are worthy. Lead us into the way of peace and goodwill. We do not ask for easy tasks, but for willingness to do them, easy or hard.
Make clear to us the words of the Psalmist: "The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works." (Psalm 145:9) Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of Friday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
