A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 23-6-92 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY MAY NOT ENTER INTO CONTRACTS TO PROVIDE COPIES OF PHOTOGRAPHY, ELECTRONICALLY STORED INFORMATION, STORED PHOTOGRAPHS, OR DIGITIZED IMAGES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 23-6-92. Notwithstanding another provision of law, the Department of Public Safety shall not enter into contracts to provide copies of photography, electronically stored information, stored photographs,s or digitized images."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
