A HOUSE RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING AND RECOGNIZING BOBBY L. WHITEHEAD FOR HIS OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP AS PRINCIPAL OF GILBERT HIGH SCHOOL OF LEXINGTON COUNTY.

Whereas, since 1975 Bobby L. Whitehead has served as principal of Gilbert High School in Lexington County; and

Whereas, Mr. Whitehead attended Anderson Junior College and Shorter College, where he received his B.A. degree; he received his M.Ed. from South Carolina State University and has done graduate work at the University of South Carolina, Clemson University, and Arkansas State Teachers College; and

Whereas, under Bobby Whitehead's leadership, Gilbert High School has flourished; he has been named "South Carolina Secondary Principal of the Year" and has been dedicated to excellence in public education; he is greatly respected and admired in the community. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulates and recognizes Bobby L. Whitehead for his outstanding leadership as principal of Gilbert High School of Lexington County.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Whitehead.
