CONGRATULATING AND RECOGNIZING LOUIS M. ELLIS, JR., OF LEXINGTON COUNTY FOR HIS OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO PUBLIC EDUCATION IN SOUTH CAROLINA AS PRINCIPAL OF GILBERT MIDDLE SCHOOL.
Whereas, Louis M. Ellis, Jr., graduated from Dixie High School in Due West, earned his bachelor of science degree at Erskine College, and obtained his master of education degree from Clemson University in elementary school administration; and
Whereas, Mr. Ellis is certified by the State Department of Education as an elementary principal, secondary principal, and teacher; and
Whereas, since 1993, he has served as principal at Gilbert Middle School in Gilbert, Lexington County; and
Whereas, he has demonstrated genuine leadership skills at Gilbert Middle School; he is committed to excellence in public education in the Palmetto State; and he is greatly respected and admired by all who know him. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulates and recognizes Louis M. Ellis, Jr., of Lexington County for his outstanding service to public education in South Carolina as principal of Gilbert Middle School.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Ellis.
