A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 40-30-330 SO AS TO EXEMPT A PERSON FROM LICENSING AND REGULATION AS A MASSAGE/BODYWORK THERAPIST WHEN THE PERSON PRACTICES MASSAGE OR BODYWORK IN A FACILITY OPERATED BY OR ON BEHALF OF A YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OR YOUNG WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 40-30-330. This chapter does not apply to an individual practicing massage/bodywork in a facility operated by or on behalf of a Young Men's Christian Association or Young Women's Christian Association."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
