A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 12-37-220(27), CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO EXEMPTIONS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM AD VALOREM TAXATION SO AS TO INCLUDE THE LEGAL GUARDIAN OF A PERSON REQUIRED TO USE A WHEELCHAIR IN THE EXEMPTION FOR TWO PERSONAL MOTOR VEHICLES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 12-37-220(27) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"(27) Two personal motor vehicles, owned or leased either solely or jointly by persons required to use wheelchairs or by the legal guardian of a person required to use wheelchairs, who qualify for special license tags under the provisions of Section 56-3-1910."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
