A HOUSE RESOLUTION

SALUTING THE PLAYERS AND COACHES OF WILSON HALL OF SUMTER COUNTY ON CAPTURING THE 1999-2000 SCISAA 3A BOYS STATE BASKETBALL CROWN.

Whereas, the Wilson Hall Barons of Sumter County captured the 1999-2000 SCISAA 3A boys state basketball crown; and

Whereas, the Barons secured the state title on March 4, 2000, when they defeated Pinewood Prep 63-51; and

Whereas, the Barons roster for 1999-2000 included the following players: Hyun Jin Bae, Sung Jin Bae, Stephen Broome, Jack Deakin, Brad Guldan, Paul Hoefer, Scott Key, Brandon Kinder, Will Kinney, Will McLeod, Wayne Morris, Andrew Moss, Brent Thompkins, and Cooper Wilson; and

Whereas, the Barons' coaches for the 1999-2000 state championship team included the following: Head Coach Eddie Talley and assistant coaches Tom O'Hare and Chuck McCord; and

Whereas, the Headmaster of Wilson Hall is Frederick B. Moulton and the school's athletic director is Charles Smith; and

Whereas, this achievement by the Barons boys basketball team truly merits our recognition. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, salutes the players and coaches of Wilson Hall of Sumter County on capturing the 1999-2000 SCISAA 3A boys state basketball crown.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the players and coaches of the Barons boys basketball team of Wilson Hall.
