A JOINT RESOLUTION

POSTPONING FROM PROPERTY TAX YEAR 2000 TO PROPERTY TAX YEAR 2001 THE IMPLEMENTATION OF REVISED VALUES OF REAL PROPERTY RESULTING FROM A COUNTYWIDE REASSESSMENT AND EQUALIZATION PROGRAM COMPLETED IN 1999.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 12-43-217 of the 1976 Code, the implementation of revised real property values resulting from a countywide reassessment and equalization program completed in 1999 is postponed from property tax year 2000 until property tax year 2001.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
