A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND AND THANK MR. RICHARD E. KOHN, JR. FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE IRMO CHAPIN RECREATION DISTRICT.

Whereas, Mr. Richard E. Kohn, Jr. is retiring after providing quality recreational opportunities to the members of the community from January 1979 until June 1999; and

Whereas, Mr. Kohn was instrumental in establishing athletic programs for the Irmo Chapin Recreation District; and

Whereas, Mr. Kohn is a Certified Leisure Professional and a member of the South Carolina Recreation and Park Association and the National Recreation and Park Association; and

Whereas, Mr. Kohn participated as President of the South Carolina Senior Games and Deputy Commissioner of the Dixie Boy's Baseball. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commends and gives its deepest gratitude to Mr. Richard E. Kohn, Jr. for his outstanding service to the Irmo Chapin Recreation District and wishes him well upon the occasion of his retirement.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Richard E. Kohn, Jr.
