A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF CLEMSON UNIVERSITY, STATE LIVESTOCK POULTRY HEALTH DIVISION, RELATING TO ANIMAL PROTEINS PROHIBITED IN RUMINANT FEEDS, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2324, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The regulations of Clemson University, State Livestock Poultry Health Division, relating to animal proteins prohibited in ruminant feeds, designated as Regulation Document Number 2324, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.

This regulation is designed to establish a cooperative program with the FDA in the prevention of the establishment and spread of Bovine Spongiform Encephlopathy (BSE), sometimes referred to as "Mad Cow Disease" through animal feed.
