A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, REAL ESTATE COMMISSION, RELATING TO VACATION TIME-SHARING, EDUCATIONAL PROVIDERS, AND REAL ESTATE PRACTICES, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2344, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Real Estate Commission, relating to vacation time-sharing, educational providers, and real estate practices, designated as Regulation Document Number 2344, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED

BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.

The Real Estate Commission is drafting proposed regulations to conform with the revisions in the statute which included the incorporation of some of the existing regulations.

Revisions are being considered which will repeal those regulations that are covered in the statute relating to real estate practices.

Proposed amendments to regulations relating to vacation time-share plans remove language repeated in the statute.

Proposed changes regarding educational providers, courses, and instructors revise the regulations to be consistent with the latest statutory changes.
